GLT Conservation Projects

The Land Acquisition and Conservation Committee of the GLT helps the organization develop and execute strategies for conserving key parcels of Grafton open space. We also work closely with private landowners who wish to see their land preserved in perpetuity, and can provide literature and referrals to assist them in making the right choice for their circumstances.

In some cases, these strategies involve outright acquisition of a parcel, either through donation or purchase. In other cases, a Conservation Restriction is the appropriate tool, allowing the landowner to maintain ownership while getting a tax benefit for agreeing to preserve their land forever.
